Malibu Springs Courtyard House
The property is located near the west end of Mulholland Highway & north of Leo Carrillo State Park. Surrounded by groves of oak, sycamore, willow, laurel, palm and pine trees, the landscape offers views of the Santa Monica Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. The site is located on a meadow over-grown with spring wildflowers, perennial grasses, chaparral and sage scrubs. Most of the year the landscape is quite flammable and fire is part of life in these mountains, this project started after the Woolsey fire, so active and passive fire resistance is applied in the design.
